national levels by educating and mobilizing the citizens of Rhode

Ensuring that voters, not special interests, own their elections process: We support Fair Elections, a voluntary system of public matching funds for campaign financing, and mandatory electronic campaign finance reporting. More>> |

Ensuring that Rhode Island government is open, honest, and accountable: We support the powers of the RI Ethics Commission to investigate ethics complaints and prohibitions on nepotism, conflicts of interest, and gifts to public officials.More>> |

Ensuring that the public has timely and protected access to official documents: We support a “balancing test” for the Access to Public Records Act, mandatory training for custodians of public records, and shorter release time for public records. More>> |

Ensuring that judicial officials are selected in a fair manner: We support maintaining the independent merit selection process for the selection of judges, as established by voters, and extending it to cover the selection of magistrates.More>> |
