Why Join Common Cause?

So many people complain about what goes on in Rhode Island politics. Are you one of them? Often, they get frustrated and feel that they can’t do anything about it. Do you?

By supporting Common Cause/RI, you really can do something to make a difference! Common Cause/RI volunteers and staff have worked for over thirty years to be a constant presence at the State House, attending hearings, watching legislative actions (or inactions) and educating Rhode Islanders about issues that affect the public interest.

This vigilant and effective campaign has a significant track record of success, but continued reform is only possible with the support of a wide and loyal membership who are willing to devote their time and treasure to open, ethical, and accountable government in Rhode Island.

Even if you can’t devote much time to volunteering for Common Cause/RI, your membership and contributions provide vital support and supplies to those who can. Your support enables others to work and speak on your behalf at the State House and across Rhode Island, raising awareness about issues that are important to them and to you!

Please support our campaign for positive change in Rhode Island government and join Common Cause today!
